The 2D Animation Studio is a creative play space for building short stories with characters, backgrounds, movement, and speech. Children can arrange commands and immediately see how changing their order changes the result. The activity can introduce sequencing, cause and effect, story planning, and creative expression without requiring children to understand programming code first.
With younger children, an adult can help read command choices and ask what should happen next in the scene. The goal does not need to be a perfect animation. Encourage the child to plan a step, test it, make changes, and explain the idea behind the story. Avoid putting personal information in project names or dialogue that may later be shared.
