Using the Science and Biology generator

The Science and Biology generator supports questions about living things, the body, plants, animals, the environment and basic observation. The questions work best alongside observation and conversation. Whenever possible, connect the worksheet with real objects, images or local conditions that children can examine.

Things to consider

  • Start with topics close to the child’s experience before introducing more abstract terminology.
  • Separate direct observations from explanations that need an additional source.
  • Ask the child to give a reason or example after answering.

Follow-up idea

Turn one question into a simple observation activity, such as examining a leaf, comparing two living things or recording a visible change. Educators can add drawing or observation space before printing.
